  • Federal Energy Regulatory Commissions (FERC)
    FERC is an independent regulatory agency within the Department of Energy that regulates the transmission and sale of natural gas for resale in interstate commerce and that oversees environmental matters related to natural gas, oil, electricity and hydroelectric projects. FERC will be the lead federal agency in the project?fs permitting process and will be responsible for issuing an import license and for the preparation of an Environmental Impact Study for the project.

  • Energy Facilities Siting Council (OEFSC)
    The lead Oregon state agency responsible for the issuance of a Site Certificate, a requirement needed to construct an energy facility. See here.
